Social Security

As your Congressman, I will introduce legislation that…

• Reduces significantly, or eliminates, the taxation of Social Security benefits
• Requires “Trust Fund” status of all Social Security (OASDI) tax withholdings from employee wages, pension benefits and self-employment tax payments
• Provides a “means and income” test to Social Security recipients. For those recipients whose non social security income exceeds these limits, a tax credit will be available in lieu of benefit payments
• Eliminates the IRA/Pension penalty for Social Security recipients
• Permanently prohibits federal government takeover of privately funded 401(k) Plans/457 Plans or any private sector Pension plans
